What we collect and why
Longevity University is run by Platform Health. This page explains what the site collects when you use it.
Information you give us
If you fill in the topics form we store your name, email address, the topics you chose and, if you provide them, your sex and age range. We also record where you filled in the form (this site or a partner clinic's store), the clinic that referred you, if any, and the wording of the consent box you ticked.
Questions you ask
When you use the evidence search, your question is sent to PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov to find relevant studies, and to Anthropic, which turns it into a search and writes the answer from those studies. We keep questions and answers for up to 90 days so repeated questions are answered faster, with email addresses and phone numbers removed. Don't include your name or other personal details in a question.
We also keep a record of each question so we can see which topics people care about: the question, when it was asked, how it was answered, the random identifier stored in your browser, your approximate location (city, region and country, worked out from your connection; we don't store your IP address) and the type of device and browser you used. We delete these records after 13 months.
Your account
An account is optional. You can sign in with a code sent to your email or with Google. Google shares your name, email address and profile picture, which are kept with your account; we use only the email. The sign-in page loads Google's button from Google, so Google can see that you opened that page. If you sign in, we keep your email address, the answers you save and the questions you ask while signed in, so you can find them on any device. Questions you asked on this device before signing in are added to your account when you sign in. Signing in uses two cookies that keep you signed in for up to 60 days, and Google sign-in a third that lasts ten minutes; they are only for your session, never for tracking.
You can clear your questions or delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting it removes your email address, saved answers, saved results and questions straight away.
The tools
The tools at /tests work in your browser. What you type in, your camera, the photos you choose and the lab reports you open are read on your device and never sent to us. If you're signed in and press Save on a result, we keep that one result, such as a walking speed or a blood age, and the date, so you can see it change. You can delete each one from your account page.
If the lab report reader misses some results and you choose to read the report with AI, the report's text, with lines naming you taken out first, is sent through our server to Anthropic to pick out the numbers. We don't store it. If you pick one of the next steps offered after a result and leave your email, we keep your email, the option you picked and the tool you were using for up to 13 months, to email you about it.
How you use the site
We record a small set of events without your name or email: which pages you view, which lessons you open, whether you play and finish a video, which product links you click, and whether you view or send the topics form. Each event carries a random identifier stored in your browser, the page it happened on, the referring clinic, the type of link that brought you here, your approximate location (city, region and country; we don't keep your IP address) and your type of device and browser. We use this to understand which lessons are useful and how the course performs on this site compared with partner clinics' stores. We delete these events after 13 months.
Links to clinic stores
Product links in lessons open a Platform Health clinic store. The link tells that store it came from Longevity University and which lesson you were watching. What happens on the store is covered by its own terms and privacy policy.
Consumer health data
Some of what we collect can be consumer health data under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act: the topics you're interested in, the questions you ask and the lessons you watch. We collect it to run the forms you fill in and to understand which lessons people find useful. We don't use advertising trackers, pixels or session recording on this site, and we don't sell your information.
You can ask us what consumer health data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent, by emailing the address below. Every email we send also has an unsubscribe link: using it deletes your email address and everything saved with it, including the topics you chose.
Who processes your information
- Supabase stores form submissions, usage events and accounts, and sends sign-in emails.
- Anthropic generates answers to search questions, and reads lab reports when you ask it to.
- Our hosting provider serves the site and its videos.
- Google Fonts and Fontshare serve the typefaces the site uses.
- jsDelivr and Google serve the open-source models that the camera and photo tools download. Only the model files come from them; your video and photos stay on your device.
